Maturing As A Person

Short sleeve shorts, shorts, skirts, tanktops, part of my life I reside in right now. This meatford issomething that I use to desribe the steps of matureity. Spring in-mature, Summer mature, Fall getiing older, Wintercoming to the end of our lifes. Summer, time of my life, growing in ways that I didn't see for me a couple of monthsago. Changes, getting older, coming home lights out, open my house door, " Surprise Happy 15th Birthday." Responsibilty, chours, jobs, " Mom I'm leaving for work." Maturiety, relizing that their not right choices, hanging with the wrong crowd, I need new frineds, no more pushing and shoving thats all done.

I noticed steeping over to summer, when the changes in my life strated to come. Hearing my mother talk late at night to my step father, getting older, also getting my "friend." I remember in the girls bathroom, notcing what Ihad there, and then running to the nurse, " Mom can you come get me from school?" mother asked "why?" " I got myfriend." My mom came and got me and on the whole way home she was saying how her little girl, now maturing into a woman. Deffentaily one of the days that i noticed changes were coming in my life. Another change in my life, my Conformation. Ok I might have lost you, cathlic's have to go through this so that when they go to get marryed theycan get marryed in a calhic church. On May 17th 2006, was my day of becomeing a young woman. Walking down that islemade me relize that this, another major moment in my life. Looking out into the chruch, seeing my mother, there smilling, lipping to me "You look Beatiful."

Responsibility plays a major roll in my life. Helping, cour's, job's, school, making my mother and everyoneelse around me proud. Getting good gradesn school, so that I can take my test's and report cards home for my mother and my grandmother to say "I am so proud of you Adriannah, you really worked hard." Cleaning the house and my roomwithout anybody asking me. When i was still in the spring part of my life, my mother use to have to ask me to do things or yell at me when I didn't do them," Why didn't you clean your room you were home all day?" I just do allthem now. Helping cook dinner, helping my grandmother go to stores, things like that. All this strated when I found out that my mother got sick last year. Febuary of last year around this time, my mother went to Altantic City for the night with my step father. The nest day they came home and my mother was having really bad chest pain's. We rushed her to the hospital. Doctor's told us that she had took a slient heart attack, and also that they had found a tumor, " Mom I am here for you", crying worring about what might happen next. That's when I strated to cook, having to see my mother cook when she was sick, I didn't like " Mom let me help please."

Mature, yes mature, growing earned trust from my mother. Now I can go out with friends and not have her question me. Go hangout over my bestfriend's or my boyfriend's house, relax watch T.V. and not have my phone ring and my mother ask " What are you doing?" Converstation's with my mother and her crying on my shoulder's about she don't know what to do for money. This tie's into the story Marigolds that we have read in class. The stroy Marigoldsauthor Eugena Collier, Lizbeth lsiten's through the walls hearing her father cry about he don't know what to do.Then Lizbeth goes to Mrs. Lottie's graden and tour everything apart, and then relizing that moment, in her life, she had to cross over and become mature. I conect with Lizbeth on that because of times my mother was crying on my shoulders. When that day came I relizied that I need to cross over from Spring to Summer, to be there for mymy mother/bestfriend.

Summer time is great, full of opportonites. Now that you know the meatford what season are you in? Are you stuck between two? I'm sure not, now my mother can sit me down and have a heart to heart conversation, and me not joke around about anything. She can also confinde in me more to tell me things " I don't know where I am gonna get the money for that lawyer sweetheart." " I'll help mom " Numerous amount of moment's I have that I remember what really matured me and also made me, me. Joanna's daughter, a person with tatoo's, pericing's, andalso a big heart. The day that I crossed over from Spring to Summer, the best day of my life. Made changes in my life, and I enevr want to look back.

" If there be Sorrow " By Mari Evans

“ If there be Sorrow “ what does that title say to you? It says numerous things don’t it. “If there be Sorrow’’ author Mari Evans has numerous amount of different things that really stand out and make the reader feel something. Rhythms, great, like listening to a song. The sorrow in this poem make’s the reader feel very upset. Title, so interesting that it drags the reader right into it to read.
I really like this poem for the vocab and rhythm. Firstly, the vocab really uses great words, most of them from a dictionary but mainly they express very easy and understanding words for everybody. Words in the poem set a mysterious picture and really leaving one questioning what they mean, and what they want they want the reader to get out of the words. “ For things undone, unattained.” Rhythm really goes with the vocab for the fact that the rhythm is enjoyable. Reputation isn’t annoying, but very understanding. Rhythm is relaxing, “ to these add one; love withheld, restrained,”
The sorrow and life story told through this very small poem. Sorrow amazing and very interesting to ones mind. Sorrow once again focusing on just as life is happening. “ If there be sorrow let it be.” In the life situation it is like being afraid of things “ that are undone or undreamed.” Just think about that mean to the reader? To the reader it means a lot.
Something that stood out to the readers the most that drags them right into, the title. Mari Evans well told and pretty much explained the poem just by the title in itself. “ If there be sorrow” the title telling everybody something. The title starts off the poem, really sets off a great tone for everything. What the author is trying to tell the readers, don’t be afraid of sorrow.
So what do you think? “ If there be sorrow”, what does this poem mean to you now? For numerous reason those things mean a lot. “ If there be sorrow” has numerous things to the reader also to the author, because of the fact that people worry like when kids don’t clean there room when there parents tell them to. Frighten of what will happen if it doesn’t get done, they might yell at the kid for not doing it. Mari Evans says in the poem “ to these add one; love withheld”, never be afraid of love just go with it and it will take you there.

Peter Abrahams

Peter Abrahams was born in the slums of Vrededorp outside Johannes buns, South Africa. Abrahams father was an Ethiopian. The mother was a “ cape colored “, a term used in South Africa as a classification for persons of mixed racial descent. Abrahams didn’t have much control over his life when he was younger. He was nine or ten before he started to read, then he known that’s what he wanted to do. Abrahams started writing short stories and poems.
Peter Abrahams had attended school whenever he could manage to go between menial jobs. In 1939 he worked as a stoker on a ship to earn his passage to England, where he began to write articles for a newspaper and radio scripts for the BBC. Mine boy (1946), the path of thunder (1948), and subsequent novels called attention to racial barriers plaguing blacks in South Africa.
One thing everyone should know about Peter Abrahams is that he had a very hard life growing up is because of his color. Also, because Abrahams didn’t have much control over his life. One more thing you should know about Abrahams is that

Graduation of 2011

Will you be graduating in 2011? Will you be taking your diploma on

grauatetion day? I know for a fact I will. I have the drive and determination

to make m stay in school, and get good grades, and the unique study at

CHS.

My drive to stay in school is for a couple of reasons. First, is that I

want to be the first person on my mother’s side of the family to gradate

from collage. Also, something else that is driving me to sty in school is

that, it is keeping me out of trouble. Secondly, I always put fourth 100

percent effort into everything I do, so I will always put that into staying in

school. Thirdly, Dom Pinto is like my brother, he would be 18 in January.

He died last year June 15, 2006. Dom never had the chance to finish it

out. So, I want to make my brother proud through out my school years.

Although there are several reasons to my optimistic thinking of my successful graduation. I would have to say the most

important reason I will graduate in the year 2011 is because of my intellect. Being intelligent is a very important part of

gradating. Without knowledge you’re not going to get fair in life. You wouldn’t be able to get a good job with out that

intellect that you need. CHS is the place to be getting that intellect at. Thats a reason why I choose to come to Constitution

High School.

At CHS, we have really unique study. For example, we have a constitution course that we are taking, but we are the only

school taking it so that is really cool. Also, because this school is a collage prep-high-school. It is teaching us things to help

us get ready for a collage and things after high school. Not only is it the unique study, is that the teachers are a big help in

the part of leaning. CHS is a great school and I know this school is going to push me to stay in school, and do a good job.

Will I be graduating in 2011? Yes! Will I be taking my diploma on gradation day? Yes! Hopefully everyone will be taking

his or her diploma on gradation day. Do you want to?

dear reader ...

I had chosen the essay of gradation in 2011 because I think I have a great introduction and a great conclusion. So please grade me on the two things. Also I think that this is one of my best essays this year. Also another great point have in this essay is details. I have a lot of details backing up my option of why I m going to be graduating. I hope you enjoy this essay Mr. Romero.

Thank you,

Does our constitution effectively resolve conflict? The constitution does effectively resolve the conflict because it protects us from anything that is going to harm us. It also resolved the conflict because we wrote a bill depending on the constitutional law. Yet it doesn’t control anybody. Everyone has a freedom of speech. But those who wish to harm Americans will be punished. So I feel that we should be balanced.
What powers does the constitution establish in dealing with this conflict? The powers that established in dealing with this conflict were a couple of things. In our Ideal society, president Khalia was going to give the death penalties for anyone. Who was going to harm her or the citizens. Also, in our society, there were people that were for an indicial freedom. One person in our society got a taken to jail because she was speaking her mind and acting off guard. But then again we should be balanced.
What did each branch/group/person do to achieve or hinder their goal? Each group in our ideal society had a lot of ideas. For example, we all felt different ways about the ichip. As all of us feeling different about it brought up a lot of ideas and things. To achieve our goals myself and ayanna had wrote a bill, to keep the ichip, but not to use it in a bad way. We kept it from tracking people thoughts, and always see what they are thinking. Once, after our bill got a passed we brought it to the citizens. The citizens liked the bill so we all achieved our goal of being on the same page.
Where the separation of powers and checks and balances both used? Yes. Separation of powers was used by all of our groups. Why you ask. Well we had four different branches and we all had different powers to use for each thing. We obeying the rules on there used the checks and balances. All of the branches had looked at this bill before we had a written anything to make sure we wasn’t going against he bill.
I still feel as if we should be balanced. There key points are powers of the constitution; each branch has a speech, and also the bills that were used. Our ideal society wasn’t perfect, but nobody is. I still feel as if the constitution does resolve conflict. I will always feel that way as long as there are points behind it. What is your point of view?

my philosphy on goverment

In my philosphy of goverment i had talked about that i agruee with the philopher Locke. Why you ask? Well i liked how he stated his idea. Also in my philosphy of government i also stated a couple of examples. In my philosphy of government i also stated why i thought that locke was better in putting out his statement like that.
